BRICK, NJ—October 20, 2009—Shorrock Gardens Rehabilitation & Care Center, a multi-purpose residence providing the elderly with therapeutic rehabilitation services, nursing care, specialized dementia care and assisted living, recently signed a contract to participate with Aetna health insurance plans.
Shorrock Gardens has always accepted traditional Medicare and Medicaid benefits and will continue to do so. In addition, those with the means to pay for resident care will have that option. The new agreement with Aetna makes the outstanding level of care available to a greatly expanded group of area residents. With more than 19 million medical members, Aetna is one of the nation’s leaders in health care coverage. For two consecutive years, Aetna has ranked as the Most Admired Company among Health Care Insurers in a survey conducted by FORTUNE magazine.

We’ve received numerous inquiries from Aetna members in the greater Brick area who are very interested in our offerings here at Shorrock Gardens, particularly in our sub-acute care unit where a short stay is offered to those who have been in the hospital and need some therapy to get back on their feet prior to returning to their home in the community. We’ve had tremendous success getting our clients better quickly and getting them home, ready to be on their own. We’re quite happy that more people will be able to take advantage of this.”
The staff at Shorrock Gardens includes a licensed Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists, supported by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.
